Four Things about Sports 2/12

Posted: February 12, 2011 in Sports

Alright guys, by now we should all know how this works but in case you dont; I recap basically four things from the sports world that happened recently.

  1. Wisconsin will beat Ohio State today. They are currently tied with about five minutes left in the game, but I really want to throw out there that I think when at home, Wisconsin is too much to handle.  Unless Sullinger puts up about 40 points, no team will be undefeated any more.
  2. Antawn Jamison scores two of his game-high 35 points to help end the Cavs' record losing skid. (AP)I knew it’d only be 26! Congratulations Cavaliers, you no longer are on a losing streak, at least for now!  Antwan Jamison (left, courtesy of CBS), put up 35 points last night as the Cavaliers knocked off the Clippers in overtime!  I think the Cleveland players were more excited about this then they were about the playoffs last year! “I can smile again,” he beamed. “It feels pretty good. Winning is a precious feeling.” Daniel Gibson said about the win.   Well, I don’t want to go out on a tangent, but I think this is the first of many to come!
  3. Tiger Woods looking like the old Tiger, sort of. Going into today’s round, Tiger Woods was only one shot off the lead at Dubai Desert! Anders Hansen leads, I will keep you posted as of how Tiger fares the rest of the way!
  4. Peter Forsberg reunites with Avalanche! After being signed over 24 hours ago, center Forsberg saw 17 minutes of ice time in -2 effort.  I actually think that he will have a strong finish to this season, albeit if he is going to, it certainly didn’t show last night!

Thanks for reading!
