As we near the conclusion to the month, I bring forth to you another recap of the sports world!

  1. Carmelo, Billups, and Amare all over 20 points in losing effort. You would think that if you had three players all over the twenty point mark, that maybe you would win the game…. If your not sold on those statistics, let me phrase it this way, if you are facing Cleveland, you would expect to win.  Ahh, the case this was not though, as the Knicks lost a close one at Cleveland last night!  The bright spot for New York: Billups and Carmelo Anthony meshed well with the rest of the team.
  2. Ferdette knocks of San Diego! The top two small conference teams faced off today, SDS and BYU, and Ferdette did his part (24 points nine dimes), to take over San Diego!  As good as the MWC is, BYU stands alone in competition, winning this one 80-67!  Ferdette for player of the year!
  3. Spring training is in full go! Baseball junkies all over the country awaited this moment since October, it has finally arrived!  The first official Spring Training game was last night, albeit there was a handful of action going on across the MLB today! Phillies beat the Yankees 5-4, and the Angels beat the Dodgers 4-1 amongst other action!

Hey guys, I apologize for my absence, as post will be spontaneous in the coming weeks!  Though, I promise to be in full go at the start of April, giving you all the baseball coverage a fan could ever want!

Anyways, the title is self-explanatory!

  1. Boston goes Banana’s. Kendrick Perkins has been a huge part of the championship team there, albeit his work goes virtually unnoticed by fans.  Apparently the Thunder were aware of his talent, as the traded away 15 point a game player, Jeff Green, to the Celtics for Perkins and Nate Robinson.  Okay, I am a bit baffled.  Why in the world would you trade away your starting center, while your big-men trio is amiss a slew of injuries?  It seems that at least one of their big men is ALWAYS injured.  As I have expressed my disgust already, I do not intend on pursuing anymore bashing, as nothing has happened yet, who knows, maybe this trade actually helps Boston!
  2. Denver Post

Package deals have always been the best. While I was not the least bit surprised that Carmelo was sent to the Knicks the other day, I was indeed surprised that they also sent veteran point guard Chauncey Billups with him as well! You know what they say, “Thank goodness for flat rate boxes from the post office!”  While the Nuggets did get Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, and a few others, the Knicks benefitted the most.  Think about it, Chauncey Billups, Amare, and Carmelo.

  3. Trades, trades, trades. In this concluding paragraph, I will foretell the future of another trade recently made. Surprise! The Nets sent Devin Harris, amongst others, to Utah for Deron Williams.  Numerous bloggers have argued that the Jazz benefit the most out of this, albeit no, not at all.  Well, Harris may just help out a bit more for the conclusion of this season, but Williams numbers are just so outstanding, as well as his leadership!

Four major things that happen in sports world, uh huh, you know what it is, albeit today it is only three, as a special weekday version!

  1. Hopeful Hoosiers. As the Hoosiers play a big dog from the Big Ten, in Purdue tonight, many Hoosiers fans, along with me, are expecting a triumphant upset!  One fan was asked if he thinks they will win and replied “ya yaaa yaaa” I did not understand this but I assumed it to be biased talk… Or Hoosier talk… Who knows, maybe it was a line in that script for that one movie! In all seriousness, I see the Hoosiers pulling off this upset.
  2. Broken Blackhawks. First, the Blackhawks lost to the Canucks, and now the Flames of Calgary!  Not only are they making me look bad in my picks section (which will not be posted tonight), they are also making themselves look bad!  I don’t know what the problem is, contrary the Hawks have been streaky often lately, hence, I expect them to pick up the pace very soon!
  3. Anthony to the Lakers? Insanity.  Pure insanity.  I have strong beliefs that the back-to-back champions roster is in no need of augment, albeit rumors flew everywhere last night, CBS sports, ESPN, twitter, and the streets.  I’ll believe it when I see it, but many sources have said the Lakers are talking to Carmello.  This is something I thought worth sharing!
