Again, this is all going to be college basketball games today, standings will be posted sometime today! Thats a guarantee! Feel free to pick along.

Virginia Tech Hokies neutral against Duke Blue Devils The Hokies have already upset Duke once this season, and thats why I doubt it will happen again today, but if Nolan Smith does not play, and Duke’s shooters are cold, you’ll never know… Albeit, I know Coach K won’t let this one get away… Duke wins.

Memphis at Texas El-Paso (neutral territory) This is for an automatic tournament seed, its supposed to be neutral, but it is in El-Paso… Both teams have 24, and 25 wins, so a loss here may not dictate a no-show in March Madness, albeit this one is important… I’ll take Memphis.

Greensburo: Clemson at North Carolina North Carolina did not lead at all yesterday, up until it actually counted, they won off of a buzzer beater… Of course, players admit they got lucky, but we will see how good they really are today, if they can beat this seed-hungry Tigers team.  I go with North Carolina.

Texas at Kansas Both of these two teams will make the field, the question is at what spot? Texas will win this one against a Kansas team that barely escaped Colorado last night…

My Picks 2/26

Posted: February 26, 2011 in Picks

Hey guys, I will be choosing three winners of the major sporting events, and invite you to do take part in such endeavors!

This post will be brief, to the point right away!  There will be about three articles posted today, maybe two, maybe four, albeit My Picks will resume tomorrow at around 12 o’clock Eastern Time!  Thanks for the patience!

I will say this though, the Lakers beat the Clippers last night, and the Cav’s beat the Knicks, looks like I went 0-2 in the NBA category!  I know that everyone picked the Knicks, no one went undefeated!

My Picks For 2/25

Hello fellow bloggers, today will be the first day of which I pick three major sport events that I have decided to predict!  I will keep track of my record, and any commenters records as well!  Please do not shy away from the user-friendly competition!

  1. St John’s Red Storm at Villanova Wildcats Game is Saturday! Considered as the most intriguing conference, I have always put the Big East in that slot… So anytime two conference giants match-up against each other…. Its a major event in my eyes!  There is no team hotter than the Red Storm right now, Hardy may just be the most under rated player in the nation!  Henceforth, I am picking the St John’s Red Storm! This qualifies as an upset, seeing as the Red Storm are ranked 25th, whereas the ‘Cats are 15th.
  2. L.A. Clippers “at” L.A. Lakers Officially ruled a home game for the Lakers, and an away game for the Clippers, both these teams play at the Staples Center, making it a home game for each (in reality).  The Lakers made no moves yesterday, seeing as they are 40-19 I really didn’t think they had to.  The Clippers did, however, acquiring Mo Williams from the Cavaliers!  I am a huge Mo fan, I think he will fit very well with the Clippers!  Griffin and Mo will dominate, my pick is the Clippers
  3. New York Knicks at Cleveland Caviliers The Knicks have now won three in a row, and with the addition of Carmelo Anthony, they are only going to get better!  The only thing that helps the Caviliers is the addition of Baron Davis, but he will not be nearly enough to stop the Knicks! My pick is the Knicks

Picking the NHL Day Two

Here is the link to last night’s post for those of you who have no idea what this is all about:

Every other day or so, I will post five NHL games,  give or take a game, that you can pick on. Records will be kept track of by myself, so here it goes.

Last night, I went (1-2-1), and tonight I plan on bettering myself.

  1. San Jose Sharks (27-19-6) @ Boston Bruins (30-15-7) This should be a must watch, as two teams playing very well lately clash at Boston, neither of these two teams have played each other yet all season, so I’m anxious to see the winner. My Pick: Sharks, in a low scoring affair.
  2. Detroit Red Wings (31-14-6) @ Nashville Predators (27-18–7) In a clash of two very good divisional rivals, the Red Wings will be playing with rage as they were upset by St. Louis last night. My Pick: Detroit, nothing stopping them tonight.
  3. Dallas Stars (30-17-5) @ Philadelphia Flyers (34-13-5) In another must watch game, two top teams in the league go up each other, in what should be a game where betters pick the over.  This is a game I WILL be watching! My Pick: Stars, upset central!
  4. New York Rangers at Montreal Canadiens I won’t leave much a caption for this one, but DePrietro is not in for the Raners tonight. My pick: Canadiens

Feel free to comment making you’re picks!  Each nightly winner will receive a shout out in my blog!

Format for picking (note: I put my picks in there, no need to copy)

  1. Sharks
  2. Red Wings
  3. Stars
  4. Canadiens

Last night’s results:

  1. Cole (2-1-1)
  2. Myself (1-2-1)
  3. Musiclover58 (1-2-1)

Sorry, for the short version today, but usually it wouldn’t be two days in a row!
